1. ClubSports365 Registration
The club have adopted ClubSports365 as our member / club management system in 2025. ClubSports365 allows us to combine multiple club operations, like membership, events, sponsorship and facilities management under one solution. Membership and match fees (where applicable) will also be administered on Club Sports365.
Spond will continue to be used for youth team management - details of training and matches etc. will be available on the App. You should have been added to your relevant Age Group on ClubSports365 and Spond. Any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
2. Youth Training
Our Friday night youth training will start on April 25th. See below details of training times / lead contacts for all age groups.
Boys/Mixed
Girls Only
* Our U15s players will train with the senior section on Wednesday evenings.
All Stars - we will be running this ECB National Programmes again for boys and girls starting in May. More information on the initiatives can be found here - All Stars / Dynamos. See below details of Friday training times / lead contacts for each group:
Registers - All children MUST register with their Age Group Coordinator and we will endeavour to be at the club as early as possible to begin this. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session and register in front of the clubhouse prior to starting training. This is to comply with Safeguarding, we must know who is attending but also to guide your child to the correct group and training drill.
Car parking – Friday nights are our busiest and therefore the car park will get full. Please follow the information below:
● All Stars and U9 parents to park at our Main Ground (North Park)
● Dynamos and U11 parents to park at Randall & Payne over the road
● U13 parents to park at our Main Ground (North Park).
Please park considerately (and do not block the adjoining farmers gate!), and if there are cones, do not move them - those spaces will be reserved for coaches with kit or those with special access needs. Please DO NOT park on the verges or the road, as this reduces visibility and is incredibly dangerous (and the police are not very keen on it!).
We are lucky enough to be able to use Randall & Payne’s car park (accountants signposted by a pink sign on the opposite side of the road to the club, closer to the roundabout). The road is busy so please do not allow children to cross unaccompanied.
3. Youth Teams / Matches
We have entered the same competitions as last year across the Cheltenham & Gloucester District League/Cups and Gloucestershire Youth Cricket League/Cups:
Grounds/Pitches - Due to the volume of cricket played, we will be using pitches outside of North Park and South Park this season. Wherever possible we will schedule home games at our own grounds and we will aim to strike a fair and even balance when allocating pitches between age groups and teams (including the senior section). This only impacts matches, all training sessions will be held at North Park or South Park. As a result of ground hire fees, there may be a modest match fee for GYCL games this season.
4. Kit
Protective equipment - All age groups except U9s use hardball and so it is essential that protective equipment is worn. Children will need to bring their own kit (helmet, chest guard (optional), box, thigh and leg pads). Boxes are essential for boys, and we would ask that children don’t share these for hygiene reasons.
We recommend using Martin Berrill Sports or the Cotswold Cricket Shop, as local providers, to buy protective cricket equipment:

Please note cricket equipment costs can be high (£200+). There is a pool of club kit that can be used if children don’t have any kit or forget to bring theirs. If you are struggling to afford any cricket equipment, contact us in confidence.
Clothing - Our Club Shop (Shrey Sports) can be accessed via the following link: Shrey Sports
Standard cricket attire ’whites’ is expected for boys matches. We encourage the use of this season’s HRCC Match Shirts (with sponsors logo), which are available in the club shop, however these are not mandatory.
Girls can wear coloured clothing for matches. We encourage the use of this season’s HRCC Match Shirts (with sponsors logo), which are available in the club shop, however these are not mandatory.
For training, we encourage the use of this season’s HRCC Training Shirts (with sponsors logo), which are available in the club shop, however these are not mandatory. Tracksuit trousers/shorts or whites are acceptable for training. Please make sure all children are wearing appropriate footwear - cricket shoes or trainers (no sandals/flip flops).
If you are struggling with the costs of cricket kit/equipment and/or membership, please contact us in confidence. We are committed to providing cricket for all and there are options available to ensure all members can participate fully in our programmes.
5. Safeguarding and Policies
Safeguarding - Alexis De Vere is our Club Safeguarding Officer (CSO), however we are recruiting for new CSOs given the size of our club. These roles are essential to make sure the club is satisfying its safeguarding obligations and for providing a safe and fun environment for all club members.
Please consider volunteering for these roles. We would like a few people to come forward so we can share the workload. This is the most important part of running the club and we need help!
Please could everyone complete the Junior Safeguarding Form on ClubSports365 to ensure the club has up-to-date records.
Policies - All the club policy documents are available here. The Club Rules and Constitution is available here. The Club Code of Conduct is available here. Members must abide by all policies. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with a club official.
6. Weather
We try to train and play as much as possible. But sometimes the Great British weather intervenes.
We will contact you on ClubSports365 or Spond if there is no training or match due to inclement weather. Please do not email the coaches or coordinators to ask if training/matches are on, we will all most likely be at work and cannot respond to individual queries. We will leave it as late as possible in the hope we can train/play.

8. Parent Helpers / Volunteers
Parent helpers are always required to either coach, umpire, score or help with the bar/cafe, fundraising etc.
If we don’t have parents volunteering in these roles, then the boys and girls will not play matches in 2025. Please volunteer if you can, full support will be provided and incentives are available.
We also need parents to help with providing refreshments on Sunday mornings. Please let us know if you are able to help.
9. Sponsorship
If you, your employer or anyone in your network is interested in supporting grassroots sport, then we have a number of fantastic sponsorship opportunities available, including sponsoring your own teams and players! We are interested in working with local companies to build mutually beneficial partnerships. Please see our dedicated website for more info:
